In celebration of World Breastfeeding Week and National Breastfeeding Month, I’m sharing from our 100 Words Project every day.
The single best experience of my entire life. Two months after the birth of my miracle daughter, I awoke one morning with a feeling of euphoria. All at once I realized the pain was gone, she was gaining well, and I was enjoying breastfeeding. In this moment I experienced a feeling of connection with all mothers across space and time. This was, and is, a feeling that escapes words. Today when I think of the day she decides to wean, I cry. The end of the best experience of my life and the best start to hers. What then?
