In celebration of World Breastfeeding Week and National Breastfeeding Month, I’m sharing from our 100 Words Project every day.
A story from Marjorie:
Some women climb mountains and overcome enormous challenges in childbirth and in nursing – I make no such claims. My babies were born simply, peacefully and looked at me with their wide newborn gazes, fuzzy, perfect and content from the first moment I put them to breast. They knew what to do and I counted my blessings, over and over and over again. Being a mother is certainly not always easy, but I know I am fortunate to say that breastfeeding has been.
