In celebration of World Breastfeeding Week and National Breastfeeding Month, I’m sharing from our 100 Words Project every day.
With my first, after a month of spitting up and fussiness, I didn’t know I had any other choice but to switch to formula. I breastfed my second for 8 months. With my third and fourth, I nursed to a year. With my fifth, I had problems. I was connected to the only breastfeeding specialist in our area. She coached and encouraged me to success. He was to be my last child and I have always loved breastfeeding. We had to work to go to a year. After witnessing the miracle of life, there is nothing to compare to breastfeeding.
